So I finally finished Mass Effect 3…

I’m really conflicted, because on the one hand, my favorite Shepard (Rei Shepard, Female Renagon Engineer and Liara lover, for anyone interested) is technically finished with her story, but at the same time not, because I plan to play it all over again to get her to level 60 once the new ending DLC is out.

I’m sad ‘cause it’s technically done, but at the same time not, ‘cause I know I’ll have more time with her during my replay and future DLC. I dunno. I’m confused as hell.

I’m not conflicted about the ending, though - it’s just as sucky playing it as it is watching it. Probably more so. Shepard better be confirmed to have been indoctrinated or Imma be PISSED.

None of the ending made any sense to me TBH (without the indoctrination theory), but my biggest issue was the whole ‘synthetics will always rebel against their creators’ bullshit. Uhm, hello? Did you forget the geth, you little brat? I’m not exactly blaming the quarians for what happened, I can understand why people would be afraid of their machines suddenly becoming sentient, but the geth (heretics not included) were never hostile without being targeted first. Choose a side or go down the middle? How ‘bout I just chuck you off the fuckin’ side instead?

I hate that stupid kid anyway, taunting Shepard in her dreams by cooking himself alive. Well, he’s not alive at that point, so it’s more like a zombie roast, but still. The whole ‘little kid haunting you all game’ thing irritated me.

But I digress. Fucking brat. Despite the terrible ending though, I am hopeful, naive as that may be, that they’ll somehow patch it up just shabbily enough that it’ll be satisfactory and in the ‘this sorta makes sense’ department, instead of ‘this is my independent college film ending’ department.

TLDR; I’m mad about the ending (though not really), and sad (though not really) about losing my Shepard (though not really).

For those very few who even noticed I’ve been gone, a quick update:

I got my G.E.D. (finally), but lost my job. Been too lazy busy to get on here lately, so I haven’t.

Still alive and kicking though, so a big thanks to those who haven’t unfollowed me. Not sure why you haven’t, but it’s appreciated all the same. =)

I’ll try my best to get on here and reblog more when I’m not busy trying to finish ME3, but seeing as a job comes first, no promises to the frequency.
